Trust the process ✨ I was in a dark place before

Trust the process ✨ I was in a dark place before I went away and showing up on here like everything was normal was exhausting. I felt like I had a plastic bag over my face and I couldn't breathe. There was lots of stuff going on, all pretty momentous, and all at one time. And this was all happening whilst running a business, writing & promoting a book, running a home, being a parent, a wife and a friend. And I tried to carry on, but it got to the point where I couldn't just keep swimming. I started therapy. I found it pretty life changing & highly recommend if you feel like your brain will explode - having a non- judgemental person that you can just offload to in a totally guilt free way is very, um, therapeutic.

I battle between sharing a part of what's been going on (because I know how much speaking up could help others, and probably me) and keeping private things private (mainly because it's not my story to tell, it's up to Ace if he wants his story shared online. He's too young to make that decision for now and I don't want it to define him.) He'll be ok, but it's changed how we live day to day, he needs a wheelchair at times, and watching your child in any sort of pain or struggling is heartbreaking. I'm so aware of our privilege in life, and aware that people go through much much worse, but it's a change to our "normal" and the adjustment has been overwhelming, and sometimes thinking of the future scares me.

Fast forward a month and I wish I could bottle up how I feel right now and drink it each morning before work. Having time off has given me headspace to process what's been going on, we've got a plan for how we can hopefully make life as manageable as possible for us all.

Today's reminder - If you are having a hard time then please know that this too shall pass. Take it minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day 🙏🏻

I’ve lost count of the DM’s I’ve had asking where in Mallorca, or Greece I am. Surprise! Neither! We booked a last minute flight to Alicante, hired a car and spent days exploring - swimming in warm, crystal clear seas, on some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. The vibe was so chilled, I didn’t wear half the clothes I packed. The food was delicious - and cost about 50% less than eating out here. Highly, highly recommend.

We're back!!! 3 weeks off work has done us the world of good ✨ Excited to know what day of the week it is again (IYKYK.) Hope you've all had a great summer, and managed to get some downtime at some point also.

The kids don't go back for another week so it'll be a slower service than usual and we'll be fully back in action next week. But first, a little catch up from our summers will be coming soon ❤️
