If you follow us on Instastories, you’ll know that we are both partial to a face mask. And if you ever read Stylist magazine, you’ll know that I’ve recently written in there that I do a face mask every night. Why? Well, it’s simple. Face masks are the easiest way to treat, repair and revive knackered skin. We pop one on as soon as the babes are in bed and then get to work making dinner/unpacking the dishwasher/tidying up toys while it gets to work. Once you’re done, wash it off, sit down, eat your dinner and watch Love Island. It’s multi-tasking beauty at it’s finest.

Face masks can specifically target certain skin problems so the trick is to have a few in your bathroom cupboard, rather than just one. Your skin changes all the time, it can be spotty one day, dry the next, oily the other. That way, you can rotate according to your skins needs. Think of it as creating a face mask portfolio.
We are such fans of face masks that we decided to host an evening at the Fresh store in Marylebone on our favourite subject. Check out the cute This Is Mothership logo they had made for the bike that lives outside the shop. Fresh is such a beautiful brand that uses the finest, naturally sourced ingredients but also looks super luxe on your bathroom shelf. We wanted everything in there.
So many of you lovely mama’s came (erm, how amazing was the goodie bag?! ) and were treated to relaxing facials and skincare tips from the skincare pros there. But because we know that not all of you can make these events, we filmed a little video for you that we hope you find fun.
Here are a few of our favourite face masks that you need to know about:
FOR PROBLEM SKIN:
This is a real multi-tasker and a great one to keep in the cupboard for when your skin is having a freak out. The clay helps to draw out any impurities (causing spots) and mattifies any excess oil without leaving it feeling dry like some other clay masks do. Our skin looked so much perkier.
FOR DRY SKIN:
With real rose petals, this doesn’t just smell divine it leaves skin feeling super-soft. The gel formula feels so cooling on the skin, it’s perfect for reviving your face at the end of a long, hot, sweaty day.
FOR DULL SKIN:
I mean, I actually asked if I could eat it, this smelt SO good. It not only smells like marmalade, it looks like it too. A blend of crushed oranges, lemons and clementines nibble away at the dead skin cells that dull the surface of the skin, exfoliating and smoothing for glowing skin.
Also, can we just draw your attention to these amazing zodiac soaps. Not only do they smell delicious, the’ll look amazing by the sink and will make such a lovely birthday present. Only £14 too.
