Nothing says ‘Mum’ more than wearing a parka. It should be a staple in everyones wardrobe – warm, bum covering and actually practical. Nothing beats that feeling of looking outside at the grim weather and knowing you have something warm and cosy enough to put on. It also helps that it feels like you are going out in your duvet, and that’s always a bonus.
A little tip – if you are a size UK 6 – 12 you could fit into kids and save yourself a load of cash. I bought the most amazing camo boys parka from J Crew in NYC a few years ago and it was one of my best finds. Just look for the largest size they do which is usually an age 14/16. There aren’t many fashion rules with the parka so go for whatever takes your fancy. A longer one will cover your mum bum so no one will know you have your big granny knickers on, but we are particularly into THISone with the ‘M’ on the sleeves – great if your name begins with M but also could be a badge for all us mums out there 🙂 I was naughty this weekend and bought THISlittle number which is super cosy and feeds my leopard addiction, plus it will last forever.
