We usually stick to the superficial chit chat about the best jeans, the best lippiesand where to find

. But sometimes we come across things that really strike a cord, make us put our sensible mum hats on and put everything into perspective. The Pampers x Unicef campaign is one of them.

We are SO lucky when it comes to our babies health, but some mama’s aren’t. Leo and Belle were both immunised when they were teeny babies with the 5-in-1 jab, as I’m sure your babies were too. But tetanus is rife in third world countries where the umbilical cord is cut without sterile equipment and they don’t have access to such medical marvels as us.
When we heard about the work that Pampers does with Unicef it really hit home and so we wanted to share it with you. Because we are all in one big Mum Club, wherever we live in the world and if you can help a mama in need by making the teeniest change to your shopping list, we know that you will.
It’s SO simple, all you have to do is make sure there’s a Unicef logo on your next Pampers purchase and you can make a huge difference to the lives of babies around the world without even really realising that you’re doing it. These "1 Pack = 1 Vaccine" packs help UNICEF to eliminate Maternal & Newborn Tetanus in 19 countries around the world.
There’s currently no cure for newborn tetanus and it claims the lives of 49,000 newborns every year, which is equivalent to one baby’s life every 11 minutes. Reading these statistics makes us well up. These vaccines are such a big deal so please, please look out for the logo when you next shop for nappies.

HOW TO HELP:
BUY NAPPIES WISELY:Each time you buy a Pampers pack with the UNICEF logo on, until the end of December, they will donate one vaccine. {1 pack= 1 life-saving vaccine}
USE SOCIAL MEDIA:For each photo of your baby shared on Twitter or on Facebook (Facebook.com/PampersUKIre) using #PampersUnicef, Pampers will donate one vaccine {1 share of your baby photo = 1 life-saving vaccine}

So next time you go to do your food shop, look out for the Pampers nappies with that blue sticker on the packet, the ones on the shelf just above Belle’s head 🙂 and then add them to your shopping trolley!!
[We worked with Pampers on this post but all opinions are our own. We will only ever share things with you that help make our lives easier / help us get more sleep / help to make us feel good. #Ad]
