As Mothers Day is fast approaching, we’ve put together a quick guide of some things you might need/want. Just send this link to your other half ‘by mistake’ as there is no point beating around the bush 🙂

UNDER £25

Personalised Vaseline

Um hello super thoughtful gift that is only £2.50. We repeat, £2.50. Who doesn’t want a personalised tin of Vaseline in their lives. Whether for a mum-to-be for the labour bag, a new mum who’s lips are dry from all the outdoorsy pram pushing or lets face it, any mum, this gift is an easy win!

This is Mothership X Birchbox Limited Edition Box

Oh hello our fancy TIM Birchbox. In case you didn’t know, we collaborated on a special limited edition box full of the beauty products that have our seal of approval. From a full size Percy and Reed’s dry shampoo (which is £13 to buy alone), Wet Brush (which is usually £8) and Cowshed handcream (also usually £8) to our beloved This Works In Transit No Traces Pad, Benefit mascara, Eyeko eyeliner and Bobbi Brown eyeshadow stick – it’s brilliant value for money. Oh, and we designed the box and British Vogue put it on their website – ‘as seen in Vogue,’ need we say more! It’s currently sold out (in just 24 hours – we can’t believe it) but you can sign up to join the waiting list here as more should be released soon (fingers crossed!)

UNDER £50

Topshop belt pouch

This is a perfect mum essential. No need to rummage through your giant baby changing bag, just keep your essentials (phone & keys) n this and wear it like a belt. It’ll add a bit of something to a basic jeans and T shirt outfit, with minimal effort involved. From Topshop and only £32.

Creme de la Mer Lip Balm

Every manic mama deserves a little La Mer in their lives and this little treat really doesn’t break the bank. The menthol formula perks you up on a particularly knackered day and it really does zap dryness – Gemma went through buckets of it during labour. It’s also £5 cheaper bought on this link than it is in John Lewis. No excuses now!

Chanel Hand Cream

All the mums will already know this but in case you’re expecting a baby there is one thing that you need to know – once you have had your baby you will experience dry hands like no other. Mum Hand is a thing, thanks to all of the baby washing, bottle steralising, hand sanitising so a decent handcream is essential. This Chanel one makes you feel super chic on those days when you’re covered in baby sick and pulling it out of your changing bag will really lift your spirits. We also love this Clarins trio which is so beautifully designed (three for £25 is a great deal, split it up and gift to a friend in need)

Jo Malone London Room Spray

There is no more welcome gift than a Jo Malone candle. We can’t think of an occasion where one wouldn’t be a fitting gift and you can bet your life on it that it’ll earn you brownie points forever more. But did you know that JML also do room sprays? The chicest sprays ever, they’re actually far more usable that the candles are when you have little kids around. Sam’s mum is currently obsessed with the one she has in her bathroom and has dropped enough (non) subtle hints that she knows exactly what to get her for Mothers Day.

PS: If you spend over £120 on the Jo Malone website before Mothers Day (get ordering for your mum, your MIL and a friends mum!) you get a free gift of three luxe handbag sizes for you too! Enter ENJOY at the checkout.

OVER £50

Rae Feather monogrammed slippers

So many of you have messaged us asking where Sam’s monogrammed sheepskin slippers are from (so cosy they are like walking on clouds) so we thought we’d add them here so that you can hint to your other halves that you need them in your lives too. You do. We also just spotted that they do kids too! CUTE!

J Crew leopard sandals

It may seem mad when we are surrounded by all of this snow, but this is the time to buy your summer essentials. These leopard print flats will last you forever. Timeless and chic, although most flattering for the long-legged amongst you. The ankle straps with cut off your legs and make you appear shorter if, like Gemma, you aren’t blessed with long legs.

Cowshed Pedicure

This is the ultimate. An hour in a spa where no one can ask you to do anything for them! And Cowsheds pedi’s really are the best in the business. You’ll sink into one of the comfiest arm chairs, be given a pregnancy v shape pillow to put over you so you feel all nestled and cocooned. It not only involves the removal of half a lb of dead skin and a glossy polish job but the best leg massage, neck massage and scalp massage. Sod it, we’ll book ourselves in for one rather than waiting for anyone to get the hint!

[The Luxe Pedi is £70, the Speedy is £40]

Nike Stefan Janoskis at ASOS

Millennial pink is still very much on trend. These are the perfect trainers to be running around in. Stylish enough to make you look like you have your sht pulled together, but practical enough to help you actually get your sht together!! They will go with most outfits, just don’t try too hard and match your bag to them.

Gucci pouch

First of all, who wouldn’t love to receive a bit of Gucci on Mothers Day! But more importantly because now we’re back in the world of changing bags, we need everything to be compartmentalized. The kids each have their own pouch so we need one for our essentials (keys, phone, emergency red lipstick for when we look particularly knackered) so we can grab exactly what we need, when we need it.
